Detox your home
Mold, moisture, water quality, air quality and the household products you use without thinking. Your home should support your health, not quietly work against it.

Shemane Nugent · Mold Survivor & Healthy Home Advocate
detox your body, mind & home
I help you uncover what may be making your home — and your body — feel off. I am a mold survivor, author and the director of the documentary Killer House, and my work is helping families ask better questions about their homes, habits and health.
The Documentary · Watch at no cost
The house I loved was making me sick, and it took years to understand why. Killer House is my film about toxic mold and the homes families trust without question — what hides inside ordinary walls, how it shows up in a body, and what it looks like to finally take it seriously.

Where this starts
Fatigue, anxiety and brain fog often begin at home.
You spend most of your life inside your house — its air, its water, its products. When you feel unwell and nothing seems to explain it, your home is one of the most useful places to look, and one of the easiest to improve.

Her Story
I lived what most people would call a healthy life — I ate well, I stayed fit, I took care of myself. And then I started feeling unwell in ways nothing seemed to explain.
It took a long time to learn that my own home was part of the story. There was toxic mold in the house I loved and felt safest in, and once I understood that, everything about how I thought of health changed.
That experience became my mission. I made a documentary about it, I write about it, and I spend my days helping other people look at their homes, their habits and their health with clearer eyes — with faith, fitness and honesty holding it all together.
A healthier home is not a mystery. It starts with better questions.
Start Here
You do not need to overhaul your life this week. You need a place to begin, and a way to tell what is worth your attention.
Fatigue that sleep does not fix. Brain fog, headaches, anxiety that seems to have no cause. Write down what you feel, when you feel it, and where you are when it starts.
Water stains, a musty smell, a room that always feels different, past leaks or flooding. Most of what affects a home's air is ordinary and easy to overlook once you know the signs.
Fix moisture at the source, improve ventilation and filtration, and bring in qualified help for testing and remediation when something looks beyond you.
Read labels on the products you use every day. Choose cleaner food, movement, rest and faith practices that give your body a fair chance to recover.
Home · Body · Habits · Heart
Mold, moisture, water quality, air quality and the household products you use without thinking. Your home should support your health, not quietly work against it.
Fatigue, brain fog and symptoms that do not add up. Fitness, nutrition and better questions to bring to the people helping you get answers.
Food labels, cleaning products, personal care. Small, repeatable swaps that reduce what your family is exposed to day after day.
Faith, freedom and peace of mind. Healing is rarely only physical, and hope belongs in the plan from the very beginning.
